FAIRBANK-Minnie Clara Gust,
90, 204 Wisconsin Street, Apt. 10,
Fairbank, died Thursday, Dec. 2, at
her home, following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be 11 am.,
Monday, Dec. 6, at St. Johns
Lutheran Church, Fairbank, with the
Rev. James Keat officiating! Burial
will be in the Fairbank Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7
p.m. Sunday at the Woods Funeral
Home, Fairbank, and one hour preceding
the services on Monday at the church.
Survivors include her husband
Eric, Fairbank; one daughter, Edna
Gipper, Fairbank; one son, Herbert
Gust, Eau Claire, Wis.; eight grandchildren;
18 great-grandchildren;
three great-great-grandchildren; two
sisters, Emma Broadbent, Rolling
Meadows, Ill. and Martha
Joregensen, Minneapolis; three
brothers,Paul Haeftinger, Alta Vista;
Earl Haeflinger, Elma; and Emil
Haeflinger, Audubon.
She was preceded in death by her
parents, a sister, Margaret Bach; two
brothers, Fred and Bill; a great grandson;
and two daughters in infancy.
Memorials may be made to the
Buchanan County Hospice or St.
Johns Lutheran Church.
She was born May 22,1903 in
Audubon, the daughter of Emil and
Anna Haeflinger. She married Mr.
Gust Jan. 13, 1922 in Audubon. She
had lived in Oelwein for 42 years
and had lived in Fairbank the past 11
years.
