MAYNARD — James Irvine
McSweeny was born August 11,;
1895 in Jefferson Township,
Fayette County, Iowa son of
Sarah and John McSweeny. He
died suddenly at home May 25,
1972.
His early years were spent
attending Fayette County rural
schools and Fayette High School.
He served in the Army Air Force
in World War I.
In 1922 he was united in
marriage to Grace Kneeland. To
them were born Robert (Lona),
John, Everette (Betty), Mrs'.
John (Kathleen) Slamkowski,
and Mrs. Thomas (Rita) Kinsella.
One daughter, his brother and
sister and parents preceded him
in death.
