Funeral services for a lifetime resident of Oelwein, Mrs. Elizabeth A. Garvey, will be conducted Saturday at 9 am at Sacred Heart church, the Rev. Paul Maguire officiating.

Mrs. Garvey died at Oak Park hospital in Oak Park, Illinois at 6 am today (Thursday). She was 93 years old.

The body will lie in state at Brant Funeral chapel after Friday morning when it will arrive in Oelwein from Chicago. The rosary will be recited Friday at 8 pm at the chapel.

Mrs. Garvey was born June 1, 1861 at Rockford, Illinois, the daughter of John and Ann Mullen Hogan.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. M. J. Hanlon, Oelwein; Mrs. Mildred Isberg, Arcadia, California; Mrs. Esther Graff, Chicago; and Mrs. Ruth Garbey, Cedar Rapids. Also son, Carlas, Chicago; James, San Anselmio, California and Paul, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1939 and four sons and a daughter. Burial will be in Fairbank.
