R. J. Bailey, whose home is about a mile north of Oelwein, died this morning at 3:15 from complications following a long illness. He was about 70 years of age and had retired to a little plot of ground which he was farming. He leaves to mourn a wife and three children, one son and two daughters; Len Bailey of Oran, Mrs. Alice Stohr and Mrs. Eva Leverington, both living on farms near Westgate. The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 1:30 at the home and at two o'clock at the Methodist church.
