The story of a girl who worked hard to attain an education ended unexpectedly Wednesday, May 26 when Marybelle Aylsworth, 28, died while at her work in a doctor's office in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Miss Aylsworth was born October 9, 1920 at Hawkeye, Saskatchewan, Canada and received her early education at various rural schools in Fayette county and was graduated from Oelwein High School in 1940.

While in school she did housework for the C. J. O'Brien's, Oelwein and later for the Dr. J. P. Gallaghers. While working for the Gallaghers she decided to become a nurse. In August 1941, she entered St. Mary's School of Nursing at Chicago and graduated in August 1944. While in training at St. Mary's, she became a member of the U. S. Cadet Nurse Corp. After graduation she specialized in the field of anesthesia and practiced that profession at St. Mary's, Holy Cross and St. Elizabeth's hospital, Chicago and St. Lukes Hospital, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

She had been in ill health for two years but had gone to work the morning of her death.

She is survived by her parents; three brothers, Warner, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Albert, Wadena, Iowa; and William, Ames, Iowa and five sisters; Katherine, Della (Mrs. Charles Kloppenburg), Davenport; Ella and Dorothy, Des Moines.*

Funeral services were Saturday at 10:00 am for Marybelle Aylsworth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Aylsworth, Wadena, at the St. Joseph Church. Services were conducted by Rev. D. T. Noonan and burial was in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Casketbearers were Robert Young, Arthur Webber, James Fennell, Derryl Leonhart, Derryl Johnson and Tom Sniffin.
