Mrs. Charles Wolf, 74, died Friday at the family home in Eldorado. She had been a semi-invalid for years, and failing noticeably for a week or ten days, but the end finally came with practically no warning.
The funeral was conducted Monday Afternoon from St. Peter's Lutheran church, Eldorado, by the paster, the Rev. J. G. Oltmann.
The following obituary notice has been furnished for publication:
Mrs. Anna Wolf, nee Trapp, was born Feb. 20 1861, in Winneshiek county. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church, and has always been a faithful and consistent member of the local congregation. Grown into young womanhood, she was united in marriage to Charles Wolf on May 31, 1881. The Lord granted them a long and happy married life. Four years ago the were permitted to celebrate their golden wedding in the midst of relatives and friends. After farming for thirty-seven years they retired to Eldorado, where they have lived ever since. Five children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Wolf, all of whom survive their mother. They are Mrs. John Koester, Eldorado; Mrs. Carl Fels, Auburn; Philip Wolf, Eldorado; and Miss Hulda Wolf, who lives with her parents. The departed is also survived by three sister, Mrs. Ferdinand Barthelme, Mrs. John Winter, and Mrs. Max Grafenberg all of Eldorado; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She attained to an age of seventy-four years, two months, and thirteen days.
