Funeral services were held Monday of last week at the Fox Funeral Home for Mrs. Ben Daniels who died at the home of her daughter Mrs. Ralph Everett near Fayette. Mrs. Daniels who was Jessie Mae Blakesly was born at Elgin, Iowa December 3, 1863, having almost finished her 73 year before her passing. She married Benjamin Daniels at West Union in 1884 and to this union were born six children, Mrs. Ralph Everett with whom she made her home the last few months during failing health, near Fayette; Grant Daniels of West Union; Mrs. Grace Hoffman of Hardwick, Minnesota; Mrs. Cora Hedrick of West Union and two sons who died in infancy. Funeral services were conducted by Dr. John D. Clinton of Fayette with interment made in the Elgin Cemetery.
