Mrs. Gertrude Davis, 78 died Sunday at 4 pm at her home, 117 First Street, N. E. Widow of W. J. Davis, she had lived in Oelwein 32 years and had spent 70 years in this vicinity.

Dr. L. W. Hauter will conduct services at 2 pm Tuesday at the Hintz Funeral Home and burial will be in Otsego cemetery.

Mrs. Davis, daughter of William Gregory and Margaret Sackville was born in Genoa, Illinois. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Blanche Storms of Oelwein and Mrs. Murile Burke of San Francisco, California, a grandson and granddaughter and two great grandchildren and a brother, Guy Gregory, Oelwein.
