Olga Schwartz was the daughter of Fred and Minnie Medaus Schwartz and was born December 28, 1893 in Jefferson township. At an early age she was baptized in Zion American Lutheran Church, January 18, 1894 by Pastor Schroeder.

She attended the rural schools of this area. For a brief time she was united in marriage to Henry Fedeler, Sr. and to this union one son was born. A few years after the marriage he died. Later in her life she worked as a homemaker for several elderly people in Oelwein, and then for many years lived with her brother Louis, north of Oelwein.

About thee years ago she made her home at the Fayette County Hospital near West Union and was in fairly active health. Three weeks ago, due to an ailment, she was taken to the hospital in West Union, and then later returned to the Fayette County Hospital . It was here that she died, April 2 at the age 77 years, 3 months and 5 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother and one sister. She is survived by her son, Henry Fedeler, Jr. who lives on a farm near Wadena; one brother Eben Schwartz of rural Oelwein and 8 grandchildren; Ronald, Mark, Theresa, Patricia, Barbara, John, Rosemary and Joseph.

Funeral services were held at Brant Chapel on Monday, April 5, with Pastor L. H. Streich officiating. Burial was at Woodlawn Cemetery in Oelwein.
