Jane Woods was born in Dark county, Ohio, October 1, 1823 and died at her home in Hazleton, March 13, 1912, at the age of 88 years, 5 months and 12 days. In 1840 she was married to Judson Jarrett and with him in 1862 moved to a farm in Fayette county where they resided until the husband died in 1884. Soon after this Mrs. Jarrett moved to Oelwein where she remained until nine years ago when extreme age and poor health compelled her to come to Hazleton where she could be cared for more conveniently and where she has received the tenderest care and most loving attention that possibly could be accorded one.

Six children are left to mourn the loss of an affectionate mother who was always solicitous of their welfare.
