Oelwein, Iowa - Ira Voshell, 54, died at 9:30 am Saturday at his home here. He had taken poison about one hour earlier according to Fayette County Coroner J. R. Wood, who called the death suicide.
Voshell reportedly had been in poor health for some time. He was a veteran of World War I. His body was found by his wife, who summoned police, it was reported.
Surviving Voshell are his widow; three brothers, Alfred Voshell of Oelwein and Sherman and Chancy both of Arlington, Iowa and three sisters, Mrs. James Thomas, Wadena, Iowa and Mrs. Minda Cousins and Mrs. Vito Quario, both of Oelwein.
The body was taken to the Brant Funeral Home.
