We give an excellent likeness of Clyde Watson whose funeral was held from the Baptist chruch Tuesday afternoon, followed by interment in the Otsego cemetery. He was a young man who numbered his friends in the city by the score and many sincere expressions of regret were heard when his death was announced.

He was employed in Sadler's Cafe up to two weeks before his death which occurred Sunday morning. Confined to his home a mile and half southeast of the city with an attack of la grippe, the disease merged into meningitis and from the effects of which he died.

He was born in Strawberry Point, September 18, 1881, and therefore twenty-five years, five months and six days of age at the time of his death. He had been a resident of this vicinity for a number of years, and was popular in consequence of his genial qualities and pleasing manners.

December 24, 1905 he was united in marriage to Miss Tillie Brostum, and to them was born a daughter who is four months of age. The wife, child, a brother, Charles Watson, and mother are left to mourn his loss, beside other relatives. He was a member of the M.W.A. and M.B.A. and carried $1,000 life insurance in each of these orders.

Among those from out of the city to attend the last services were his uncle, Stephen Watson of Arlington, a cousin, Ernest Watson of Mitchell, South Dakota, William Culver of West Union, Ed Lang and family of Strawberry Point, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Squires of Arlington, Mrs. Clarence Squires and son of Arlington, Mrs. Watson's sisters, Mrs. Hanson and the Misses Brostum of Forest City and his brother, Charles Watson of Davenport.
