Dr. George M. Berry, 71, who had practiced dentistry in West Union, Iowa, for 28 years, died at 1 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, as was briefly mentioned in the Argo Gazette published that morning.

He had been a suffer from diabetes and heart trouble for a long time, but his serious illness dated only from Saturday morning, two days before his death.

The funeral was conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday from Holy Name church by the Rev. Charles Steinlage.

George M. Berry was born Aug. 5, 1873, at Lindsey, Canada. When a small boy he came with his parents to the United States. They settled at Oneill, Neb. He attended the University of Iowa, and completed a course in dentistry at Northwestern university. He located in 1911 at Clermont, where his brother, the late Dr. R. P. Berry, was in medical practice.

He married Mrs. Ada Woolverton at Omaha, Neb., in 1912. They moved to West Union in 1916, and their home has been here continuously since.

He is survived by his widow, and a step-daughter, Mrs. Paul Fisher, but by no closer relatives than cousins.
