Mrs. Louise Lenius was born Oct 28, 1828 in Germany. Her maiden name was Rosengarten. In 1849 she was married to Mr. Carl Lenz who died in 1865. In 1866 she entered into a second marriage with Mr. Carl Lenius. In 18_8 they came to this country and have since that time lived in the vicinity of Oelwein. The deceased had always enjoyed good health. Wednesday of last week she became ill and knew her days were numbered. The end came Sunday night. She was a noble woman, a faithful companion, a loving mother and a true disciple of her Savior. Her age was 75 years, 11 months and 1 day. Besides her husband she is survived by 7 children, Mrs. W. Werner, Ernest, Herman and Albert Lenz. Carl, Theodore and Fred Lenius. The funeral services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. F. Zimmerman and largely attended. Interment at the Oran cemetery.
