Glenola D. Junge, 75, of Fayette, Iowa, died Friday evening, Oct. 26, 2007, at Palmer Lutheran Health Center, West Union, following a brief illness.

A private family service will be held. There will be no visitation. Inurnment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein.

Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein, is handling the arrangements.

Glenola Darlene (Westendorf) Junge was born Dec. 28, 1931, in rural Lamont to Rudolph William and Anna Pearl (Smith) Westendorf.

She graduated from Oelwein High School in 1950.

On June 22, 1951, Glenola was united in marriage with John Thomas Junge. The couple lived in Waterloo before moving to Texas for three years, where they lived at Lake of the Pines and Gilmer. In 1970, the Junges moved to Fayette, where Glenola was a homemaker.

She was a member of Worldwide Church of God in Cedar Rapids.

Preceding Glenola in death were her parents; her husband, John, on March 17, 1972; a daughter, Ruth Lau; and a sister, Margaret Fleming.

Surviving are her children, Jackie (David) Garlow of West Union, Tom (Carol) Junge of Clermont, and Judy McGuire of Fayette; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Viola Nabors of Charlotte, N.C., and Ladema (Norman) Euchner of Holstein; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A memorial fund has been established in Glenola Junge's name.
