LEVI ERVIN MOLOKKEN

Levi Ervin Molokken was born May 18, 1925, in Dover Township, Fayette County, Clermont, Iowa, to Andrew and Julia Kleppe Molokken. He was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church, rural Ossian. He attended school at Rural Dover No. 6, Fayette County. Levi had three brothers, Edwin of Ossian, Arthur, Clermont, and Melvin, West Union; and one sister, Donna, Mrs. Dale Seitz, Clermont.

He worked for the town of Clermont and farmed. Levi was married to Lydia Marie Reierson, June 14, 1960, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Their children are Vicki Lee, Lynn Marie and Judy Ann.

Levi was a member of Sheehan-Olson American Legion and the Clermont Fire Department.

He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Molokken. He is survived by his wife, Lydia; daughters, Vickie, Lynn and Judy; his mother, Mrs. Julia Molokken; brothers, Edwin, Arthur and Melvin; sister, Dona; many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.

Levi enjoyed being with his family and doing things with them. He enjoyed camping and working on his farm.

Levi died Monday, March 25 at the Community Memorial Hospital, Postville.

Funeral services were conducted from the West Clermont Lutheran Church at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 28, with Pastor Clarence Johnson officiating, assisted by Pastor Sutter.

Casket bearers were Gerald Wander, Keith Wander, Veldon Orth, Wayne Shipton, Dennis Rear and Jim Everman. Special music was provided by Art Amundson and Mrs. Richard Neumann. Interment was in God's Acres Cemetery in Clermont.
