MARTIN O. ANDERSON

Funeral services for Martin O. Anderson, 91, were held Friday, Jan. 18, 1980 at 11 a.m., at the West Clermont Lutheran Church in Clermont. The Reverend Allan J. Stoa officiated in the service with Schutte Funeral Service in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Anderson was born Feb. 26, 1888 on a farm near Clermont, the son of Ole and Anna (Nelson) Anderson. He was baptized and confirmed in the East Clermont Lutheran church and attended the Larrabee and Woodland schools of Clermont.

June 7, 1911, he was united in marriage to Milla Leonora Everson. They were the parents of four children. A farmer most of his life, he also helped Anna Larrabee maintain her Montauk farmland for six years. After retiring from farming in 1957, they moved to Clermont.

Tuesday, Jan. 15, 1980, he died at Community Memorial Hospital in Postville. He was preceded in death by his wife, "Nora", a daughter, Anna May, a son, Burnell, six brothers: Julius, Andrew, Elmer, Melvin, Gilbert and John; and a sister, Mary Tatro.

Survivors include: two daughters; Mrs. Deane (Eleanor) Shupp of Memphis, Tenn. and Chrystol Anderson of West Union; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; a brother, Lester Anderson of West Union and a sister, Mrs. Bertina Halverson of Elgin.
