HOLD RITES FOR CLARENCE JOHNSON

Clarence A. Johnson, 77, died at Palmer Memorial Hospital in West Union, Monday, April 7, 1980.

Funeral services for Mr. Johnson were held Thursday, April 9, 1980, 1:30 p.m. at West Clermont Lutheran Church, Clermont. The Rev. Allan J. Stoa officiated the service with Schutte Funeral Service in charge of arrangements. Burial was in God's Acre Cemetery.

Clarence Johnson, son of John A. and Karina (Halverson) Johnson, was born Dec. 19, 1902 on the family farm near Clermont.

He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Clermont and attended the public school there. He married Gladys Peterson, May 23, 1942. She survives him. Other survivors include a son, Dean, at home; and a sister, Mrs. Helen Osmundson of Clermont.
