HOLD RITES FOR AULGER PAULSON

Services for Aulger L. Paulson, 84, were held Wednesday, Aug. 27, 1980, at 1:30 p.m. the Schutte Funeral Home in Postville. The Rev. Allan J. Stoa officiated. Burial was in the God's Acre Cemetery, Clermont, Iowa.

Aulger L. Paulson, son of Gilbert and Anna (Nelson) Paulson was born Aug. 10, 1896 in Gunder, Clayton County, Iowa. He died Aug. 25, 1980 at Palmer Memorial Hospital, West Union.

He was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith at the Marion Lutheran Church in Gunder. His family moved to Post Township and he received his education at the Cherry Valley School. He served in the U. S. Army during WW I. June 8, 1926 he was married to Ethel Leet at the parsonage in Waukon. They lived in Clermont where he worked as a farm laborer, a mechanic and was custodian of the Clermont School for 25 years.

He had been retired for 13 years and enjoyed woodworking and photography.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter in infancy; a brother, Perry; and two sisters, Carrie Paulson and Agnes Nutting.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Veryle) Scott of Panama City, Fla. and Mrs. John (Judith) Focht of Cedar Falls, Iowa; five grandchildren; and two brothers, George and Glynn, both of Clermont.
