SERVICES HELD FOR ALMER NELSON

Funeral services for Almer Leo Nelson were held Monday, Oct. 8, 1979 at 11 a.m. at the West Clermont Lutheran Church in Clermont. The Reverend Allan J. Stoa officiated. Schutte Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in God's Acre Cemetery.

Almer Leo Nelson, son of William A. and Alma (Mork) Nelson, was born November 15, 1914 in Grand Meadow Township, Clayton County, Iowa. He passed away October 4, 1979 at Lutheran Hospital, LaCrosse, Wisconsin, at the age of 64 years.

He was baptized and confirmed in the East Clermont Lutheran Church. On October 25, 1934 he was united in marriage to Alice Tatro. To this union six children were born. They farmed in the Clermont area until he retired.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Adrian and Donald, a grandson, Jerry Ruckdashel, and a sister, Winefred.

He is survived by his wife, Alice, two sons, Robert and Andrew, both of Clermont; two daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Beverly) Ruckdashel, of Trona, California, and Mrs. Ardell Conrad of San Diego, California; fourteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren; two brothers, William Nelson, Jr., of Clermont, and Milton Nelson of McGregor; and two sisters, Mrs. Wayne (Vinah) Shipton of Clermont, and Mrs. Ralph (Virginia) House of Dubuque.
