RITES HELD FOR ROBERT L. NELSON

Funeral services for Robert L. Nelson were held Friday, Dec. 24, 1982 at 1:30 p.m. at the East Clermont Lutheran Church. The Rev. Matthew Bersagel officiated. The Schutte Funeral Service of Postville was in charge of arrangements.

Robert Leo Nelson, son of Almer Leo and Alice (Tatro) Nelson, was born February 3, 1940 on the Nelson farmstead. He died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1982 on the same farm.

Bob was baptized at home and confirmed in the West Clermont Lutheran Church transferring to the East Clermont Lutheran Church in 1980. He received his education at the Clermont School graduating in 1957. He entered the Army on Dec. 28, 1958 and was discharged on March 9, 1962 after serving in Germany.

On June 12, 1965 he was married to Nancy DeAnn Williams at the Prairie City Methodist Church in Prairie City, Ia. To this union two children were born: Mary in 1966 and John in 1968. The family farmed the "Nelson Family Homestead".

He is preceded in death by his father in 1979 and two brothers, Donald and Adrian.

He is survived by his wife, two children, his mother, Alice, a brother A. D. Nelson of Apache Junction, AZ, two sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Beverly) Ruckdaschel of Trona, CA and Ardell Conrad of Twenty-nine Palms, CA.
