Funeral services for Anna Fritz, 104, were held Monday, April 16, 1984 at 1 p.m. at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, Cedar Falls. The Rev. Homer Larsen, Nazareth Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls, officiated. The Rev. William Thalacker officiated graveside services at Hawkeye Cemetery.

Anna Fritz was born Nov. 29, 1879 in Germany, the daughter of Fred and Ulricka (Griebnow) Burrow. She died Friday, April 13, 1984 at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home.

She grew up and was educated in the Elgin area. She married Charles Fritz in Elgin Feb. 26, 1901. They were the parents of a daughter, Leona.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, who died in 1967, her daughter, one great-grandson, five brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by two nieces in Postville, Mrs. Herbert Drier and Mrs. Fay Wickham; a sister-in-law, Mrs. John Burrow, also of Postville; eight grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren, 31 great-great grandchildren, and many other relatives.
