JAMES LESLIE WESTCOTT 1912-1969

James Leslie Westcott, 56, died February 15, 1969 at his farm home near Hawkeye, Iowa. He was born November 30, 1912 at Volga City, Iowa, a son of the late James Birdell and Georgie E. Hold Westcott. He moved to Clermont, Iowa with his parents at the age of five years. He married Elizabeth Hangartner February 8, 1939 in Postville. They moved to a farm near Hawkeye, where they made their home.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth; three brothers, Arnold, Maynard; Clarence, Missoula, Montana; and Gene, West Union; three sisters, Zella Smith, Hot Springs, Montana; Marjorie Sullivan, Independence; and Maxine, Maynard. His mother, father and one brother preceded him in death

Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 18, 1:30 p.m. at the Burnham-Wood Funeral Home in West Union with the Rev. Lenwood Monte officiating. Interment was in the Postville Cemetery.
