Howard E. Ott (1934-2007)

OELWEIN — Howard E. Ott, 72, of Oelwein, formerly of Waterloo, passed away on March 5, 2007, in Casa Grande, Ariz. Howard was born on July 14, 1934, to Fred and Marie (Scheckel) Ott.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2007, at Our Saviors’ Lutheran Church, 420 Harwood Ave., Waterloo, with Pastor Keith Piller officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at the Garden of Memories.

Howard retired after 34 years with Mid-American Energy. A member of Our Saviors’ Lutheran Church, Howard enjoyed his family, traveling, fishing and golfing.

Memorial contributions can be made in Mr. Ott’s memory to Our Saviors, Lutheran Church, 420 Harwood Ave., Waterloo, IA 50701 or to the family.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Rosemary; sons, Ron Ott of Cedar Rapids, Greg Ott of Des Moines and Dan Ott of Marion; brothers, Dale Ott of Hudson, Marvin Ott of Waverly and Eldon Ott of Marshalltown.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert; and a sister, Janice.

Arrangements entrusted to Simes Mortuaries Casa Grande Chapel and Our Saviors’ Lutheran Church.
