Amanda Caroline Rueber, 73, a resident of Stanfield 51 years, dies Monday in St Anthony Hospital in Pendelton. She was born June 18, 1894 in maynard Iowa, and moved to Stanfield in 1916 where she married Jacob Rueber in September 1916. The couple farmed all their lives. Mr Rueber helped build Cold Springs Reservoir. Mrs Rueber was a charter member of Trinty Luthern Church at Hermiston and an active member of the Stanfield Women's Club. Survivors are a son, Leo Rueber Pasco Wash., a daughter, Nadine Vandine, Hermiston, three brothers, William Lyndner, Hermiston, and Carl and Herbert Lyndner, Portland, two sisters, Anna Kirchkoff, Sumner Ia, and Hulda Ryan, Portland; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Burns Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Funeral notice is in todays paper.
