WEST UNION - Funeral services for Jacob "Jake" Peyton will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, at Zion Lutheran Church, West Union. Burial will be in Troy Mills Cemetery, Troy Mills. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at the Burnham-Wood Funeral Home, West Union.
Mr. Peyton, 24, died at his home Wednesday, Dec. 24, 1997, after a short illness.
Survivors include his wife, Sara; four children, Bethany, Ryan, Justin and Blake, all at home; his mother, Charlene Peyton of West Union; his father and step-mother, Dean and Doreen Peyton of Calmar; grandparents, Theola Eberhart of West Union, and Walter Peyton of Winthrop.; six brothers, Michael and Scott Merrick, both of Chicago, Ill., Dean Peyton of West Union, Rick and Roger Peyton, both of Winthrop, and Jason Peyton of Calmar; one stepbrother, Jeremy Weiss of Decorah; six sisters, Rhonda Johnson, Laura Peyton, Joyce McElree and Pam Langreck, all of West Union, Carla Guyer of Waverly, and Deann Peyton of Winthrop; a stepsister, Robin Franck of Prairie Du Sac, Wis.; and nieces and nephews.
