FAYETTE - Funeral services for Gladys Davis will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, at the Randalia Methodist Church, with burial in Grandview Cemetery, Fayette. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, at Burnham-Wood Funeral Home, West Union.
Mrs. Davis, 88, died Saturday night, Dec. 27, 1997, at the North Iowa Mercy Health Center in Mason City after a short illness.
She was born Sept. 20, 1909, in Volga, the daughter of Joseph and Emma (Chapman) Fox. She married Parker C. Davis on Aug. 14, 1929, in Arlington.
Survivors include two sons, Daryl (Diane) of Salt Lake City; Utah, and Gordon (Elaine) of Fayette; one daughter, Joan (Harold) Kobriger of Forest City; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother Dale Fox of Waterloo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Parker in 1986; and one granddaughter.
