SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Florence Loretta Clark, 95, formerly of Randalia and Maynard, died Tuesday, May 12, 1998 at Bethany Center, San Francisco.
She was born Dec. 6, 1902, at Mount Vernon, the daughter of George and Fannie (Safranek) Dege. She graduated from Randalia High School. After normal training, she taught in country schools for several years. The family moved to Maynard. On Feb. 5, 1930, she married Floyd R. Clark at Santa Cruz, Calif. The couple lived in San Francisco all their married lives. Mrs. Clark enjoyed work as a member of the Eastern Star. She was a member of Sunset Church. She had been a resident at Bethany Center for two and one-half years.
Survivors include one sister, Sara (Clifford) Smith of Oelwein; three nieces; also grand nieces and nephews; cousins and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd, Aug. 19, 1964; five sisters, Irene, Fern, Maye, Adaline and Charlotte; two brothers, Paul and George Dege; three nieces and one nephew.
Memorial services will be Thursday, June 4, 1998, at Bethany Center.
Inurnment was in a San Francisco mausoleum.
