Dorothy M. Cluts
OELWEIN - Funeral services for Dorothy M. Cluts will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 27, at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein, with Rev. Bob Elam officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein. There will be a visitation from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and one hour before services on Monday at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cluts, 90, died Thursday morning, April 23, 1998, at Grandview Healthcare Center, Oelwein, after a long illness.
She was born Oct. 23, 1907 at Spring Valley, Minnesota, the daughter of Peter and Katherine Nemeckek Guy. She married Harry Kiddle who later died. She married James W. Gibbons who died on Jan. 14, 1970. On Oct. 14, 1971, Dorothy married Glenn I. "Butch" Cluts in Nashua, Iowa. She was employed at Mercy Hospital in Oelwein for 26 years as a nurse's aid in the surgical department and in the pediatric department. Dorothy was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two granddaughters, Joan Lex, Spring Valley, MN and Marsha Riddle, Seattle, W A.; three grandsons, Mark Riddle, Sacramento, CA, Victor E. Riddle, Carmichael, CA and Blaine Riddle, Seattle, W. A; three great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, six nieces and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands and a son, Victor Riddle; one brother, two sisters and a great grandchild.
