OELWEIN - Funeral services for Robert R. Rohrick will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at the Hintz-Geilenfeld Funeral Home, Oelwein, with the Rev. LaVerne Streich officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Rohrick, 67, died at his home Thursday, Oct. 9, 1997, after a lengthy illness.
He was born May 1, 1930, in Oelwein the son of Otto R. and Marie (Taylor) Rohrick. He attended Oelwein schools. On April 29, 1978, he married Donna J. Folsom in Oelwein. Mr. Rohrick worked for Wilson Produce, M & W Appliances, and Mercy Hospital of Franciscan Sisters from 1979 to 1993 when he retired.
Survivors include his wife, Donna; two sons, Barry (Lila) of Oelwein and Craig (Carolyn) of Independence; four daughters, Penny (Jon) Noah of Waubeek; Deb McLaury, Kim Annis and Lisa (Mike) Peckham, all of Oelwein; four stepchildren, John (Judy) Mason and Charlotte (Mike) Fraipont, both of Wichita, Kan., Sharon (Dave) Hulse of EL Dorado, Kan., and Lori (Russ) Warnke of Oelwein; 26 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ronnie (Connie) and Raymond, both of Oelwein; and two sisters, Pat Hedrick of Oelwein, and Diane (Bob) Gibson of Hazleton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
