Elizabeth Butikofer, 55, Cedar Falls

Elizabeth "Liz" Butikofer, 55, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, Dec. 7, near Waverly, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. Funeral services were Dec. 12 at the United Church of Christ in Cedar Falls. Interment was at Illyria Community Church Cemetery near Elgin. Dahl-Van Hove-School Funeral Home in Cedar Falls was in charge of arrangements.

Elizabeth Dahlke was born May 6, 1951 in Viroqua, Wis., the daughter of Don and Phyllis (Warner) Dahlke. She was a 1969 graduate of Waukon High School and a 1973 graduate of Upper Iowa University in Fayette. Liz married Bob Butikofer Feb. 3, 1973 in Fayette and was a library aide for seven years at the Waterloo Public Library. She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Cedar Falls.

Survivors include her husband, Bob, of Cedar Falls; a son, Christian (Amanda) Butikofer and a daughter, Alyssa Butikofer, both of St. Paul, Minn.; a grandson, Jackson Butikofer; her parents, Don and Phyllis Dahlke of West Union; two brothers, Bill (Connie) Dahlke of Marshalltown and Karl (Kim) Dahlke of Bellevue, Neb.; and a sister, Sue (Mick) Stamper of Waukon.

Liz was preceded in death by a niece, Sarah Dahlke, and a brother-in-law, Keith Butikofer.
