Carl H. Louden passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Henry Grossman, Sunday morning. Deceased was born in 1826, he has been a resident of Clermont the last 20 years. Deceased leaves a daughter, Mrs. Henry Grossman, Charles of Clermont, Henry in the employ of the C.R.I.&P., and Mrs. Wilke of Elkader, and number of grandchildren. Services were held Tuesday at the home of Mr. Grossman, Rev. Burrett officiating.

Note: from Fayette County Union, probably March 3, 1912. Date of death was February 25, 1912. Burial at Clermont Cemetery, grave unmarked. Daughter Minnie Louden Beyer of Clayton Co. was not mentioned as survivor.
