On August 26th the George W. Baker
descendants held their first annual
reunion in the Oelwein park when
seventy-five relatives sat down to a
bountifully filled table. Those present
included the Pattison, Baker,
Abel, Lincoln, Greenough and Paul
families from Independence, Oran,
West Union, Fayette, Oelwein and
Smithfield. The next one will be held
at Oelwein next August.
