Lauterbach, John E., farmer, Section 31; PO Sumner; owns 205 acres of land, valued at $20 per acre; born in Germany in 1828. Married Miss Christina Barth in 1854; she was born in Germany in 1837; they have seven children --- Charles J., Louisa, Emma C., Sarah, Gusta..., Katie and Robert. Came to America in 1852 and located in DuPage Co., Illinois and in 1869, located in Banks Township, Fayette Co., Iowa . Mr. and Mrs. L are members of the M. E. Church.
