Gundlach, John, farmer, Section 31; PO Putnam; born in Mecklenburg, Germany, in 1824; came to the United States in 1849, settling in Racine Co., Wisconsin and in Berrien Co., Michigan, in 1854, and in this county in 1855. Married Miss Mary Seedorff in 1854; she was born in Mecklenburg, in 1821; they have two children, John H., born Jan. 30, 1856; Mary S., Aug. 14, 1857. They are Lutherans; he is a Democrat. Owns 445 acres of land in a high state of cultivation, worth $25 per acre. He is one of the most enterprising farmers in his neighborhood.
