Foster, John A., farmer, Section 10; PO Brush Creek; born in Scotland in 1839; came to this country in 1852 and located in this county in 1866. Married Miss Jennie McNaught in 1865; she was born in Scotland in 1847; they have five children -- Allen, born Sept. 9, 1866; John, Aug. 18, 1868; Betsy, May 7, 1870; Thomas, Feb. 11, 1874; Isabella, Sept. 19, 1877. Are Presbyterians; he is a Republican. He has been Pathmaster one year. He owns 134 acres of land, worth $20 per acre.
