Morton, Samuel A., farmer, Section 13; PO West Union; owns 80 acres of land, valued at $20 per acre; was born in Benson, Rutland Co., Vermont, in 1818. Married Margaret Dryden in 1857; she was born in Canada East, Province of Quebec, in 1833. He came to Fayette Co. in 1869 and located in Bethel township. They both been members of the M. E. Church seven years.
