Doctor, John B., farmer, Section 21 (Scott township); PO Oelwein; was born in Lycoming Co., Penn., in 1844; located in Ogle Co., Illinois, in 1851, and in this county in 1869. He married Miss Margaret E. Miller in 1872; she was born in West Union, this county, in 1859; they have one child -- Samuel E., born March 5, 1873. Republican. He is School Director for the present term. He owns 280 acres of land, worth $25 per acre; he is an enterprising and successful young farmer, full of energy, industry and prudence.
