Gardinier, Cornelius B., farmer, Section 31 (Scott township); PO Hazelton; born in New York City January 13, 1826; located in this county in 1860. Married Miss Hilda H. Zanung in 1852; she was born in Morris Co., NJ, in 1831; have two children -- Rachel E., born Oct. 8, 1853; Cornelius Z., born April 5, 1868. Methodist; Republican. He has held all the local offices in his township, at different periods, and is Justice of the Peace now; owns ninety-three acres of land, worth $25 per acre.
