Information on great grandfather

TRONDSON OR HAEGGE

In 1869 my great grandfather Ole Trondson (Norwegian name Ole Trondsen Haegge ) left Allamakee County with 4 other families by wagon to South Dakota. He died suddenly in Emmet County.
Been told by Swan Lake where he was buried in an unmarked grave. This could be very close to The Swan Lake Cemetery. My great grandmother went north into Minnesota & settle by the shores of Heron Lake In Jackson county. There were 6 boys with her. Later She & 5 sons moved to Glenham , SD with only my grandfather remaining . I guess my question is "Are there unmarked graves in Swan Lake cemetery". 1880 is the earliest marker. Family members went back years later but couldn't find the grave. The other 4 families are said to have stayed around the Estherville area.
This has been a family question for years.
