He died in Topeka, Kansas and not Emmet county.
DONALD ELLIS WHITE
TOPEKA. KAN - Donald Ellis White, formerly of Carroll, was dead on arrival Tuesday at a Topeka hospital. He had an apparent heart attack. Ellis, who resided in Carroll from 1946 to 1960 had lived in Topeka since 1965 having moved there from Omaha, Neb. He was born July 30, 1911, in Iowa Falls. An employee of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co from 1938 until his retirement in 1976 from the distributing center in Topeka, he had lived in
Carroll, Des Moines, Newton, Charles City, Pittsburg, Pa. and Moline, Ill. He was a member the Westminister Presbyterian Church. Ellis married Lillian Edwards on Aug 27, 1936 in Estherville. She survives at their home in Topeka. Other survivors include a son Jerry, of Radner, Pa., a daughter, Jan Adelman of Alpine, N.J., a brother, Ronald of Honolulu, Hawaii, and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Thursday at the Penwell Gabel Funeral Chapel in Topeka and at 1 pm Friday at the Presbyterian Church in Armstrong. Interment will be in the Armstrong Cemetery.Carroll Daily Times Herald -- Carroll, Iowa
