In Response To: Donahue,Ann (Linda Grennan)

I have checked the Donahue name for Ann and I found the following in the 1900 federal census of Estherville, Emmet County, Iowa:
Donahue, Ann, head of household, age 70, widow, born in 1830 in Ireland, been in U. S. for 57 years, mother of four living children.
Donahue, Mary A., daughter, born Dec. 18, 1863, single, born in Iowa, seamstress.
Donahue, Edward F., son, born Nov. 1867, in Iowa age 32, single, carpenter. The family was living on East Roberts Street.
According to Ann Donahue's death record, she was born March 1, 1825 in Ireland. Her father was John Maher who was born in Ireland. Her mother was Bridget Coine. Ann died Sept. 27, 1917 at the age of 92 years, 6 months, 25 days at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hattie (Harriett) Brown who lived on North Ninth Street in Estherville. Ann Donahue was buried in St. Johns Cemetery in Emmetsburg, Palo Alto County, Iowa.
Her daughters, Mary and Harriett, and son Edward F. Donahue are also buried there.
Is this the Ann Donahue that you are looking for?
Ruth
