Wegner Family

WEGNER, MILLER, VOIGHT, GOHR, MARON

Seeking any information on the Wegner family that settled near Armstrong and Whittemore, Iowa.

The first of the family was Ferdinand Wegner, b. 1836 at Hoff, Kreis Greifenberg, Pommern, d. 1893 Whittemore, Kossuth Co., IA. He married Wilhelmine "Minnie" Miller, b. 1827 at Hoff, Kreis Greifenberg, Pommern, d. possibly around 1900-1908 near Armstrong, Iowa. It is possible that she died by 1900 as she cannot be located in the 1900 Census (although she may have gotten remarried??).

The mother, Minnie Wegner would have been living with her son, Albert Wegner (1866-1946) who lived near Armstrong, Iowa. Albert married Friederieke "Rika" Maron (1865-1951). They left a large family of descendants in the Armstrong area.

Any information about Minnie Wegner as to when she may have passed away would be appreciated. Also any information on descendants as well.

Ferdinand and Minnie (Miller) Wegner also had 2 daughters, Albertina "Tina" who married Friedrich "Fritz" Voight/Voigt and Amelia who married Alexander Gohr.
