Collins Dies at Age 64
Romaine Collins, 64, of Staunton, Va., former Estherville resident and a nephew of Mrs. Fred Larsen, died yesterday afternoon at a hospital in Staunton. Mr. Collins had been hospitalized for two weeks.

Romaine V. Collins was born July 8, 1901, in Estherville, the son of Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Collins. He received his education here and graduated from Estherville High School.

He continued to live here until 1931 and then moved to Iowa City, where he lived until he enlisted in the United States Navy during World War II. He was stationed in Washington, D.C., and after his discharge from the navy, continued to make his home in the eastern states. For the past 17 years he had been an accountant for the American Razor Co.

Mr. Collins is survived by a son, Jerry; a daughter, Betty; a brother, Gaylord Collins of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and his aunt, Mrs. Larsen of Estherville.

The body is to be returned here for services and burial. Arrangements are pending at Fuhrman Funeral Home. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 26, 1966)
