Eugene Bigelow Dead
Youngest Son of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Bigelow Died Monday
The sad news was received here Monday forenoon of the death of Eugene Bigelow, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Bigelow, of typhoid fever at Excelsior Springs, Mo., where the family had been staying the past winter. He had been sick since the latter part of December. Two weeks ago he was up and around but had a relapse and death resulted. Deceased was born in Jack Creek township, this county, and was seventeen years of age at the time of his death. He was an unusually bright young man and his untimely death is not only mourned by the Bigelow family, but by all his friends. He had a promising future before him and was a great favorite among his young associates. Only the memory of this young man is left.

The Bigelow family is expected to return with the remains Wednesday evening and funeral services will probably be held in the Presbyterian church Thursday and the remains interred in Oak Hill Cemetery.

The sympathy of this community is extended the Bigelow family in their time of profound sorrow. (Estherville Democrat, Estherville, IA, March 9, 1910)
