T. HOFF, COUNTY PIONEER, PASSES
RESIDES ON ONE FARM NEAR WALLINGFORD 65 YEARS

Tom Hoff passed away at his home near Wallingford last Sunday morning [1 Dec 1930] after a long illness of dropsy and heart disease. Mr. Hoff was born at Albert Lea, Minn. on Feb. 5, 1861 but had lived on the same farm in Emmet county for 65 years coming to the farm in High Lake township in 1865 with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sven Hoff. Mr. Hoff and his sister Miss Barbara Hoff have resided on the farm since the death of their parents 21 years ago.

Funeral services were held at the Wallingford church Tuesday afternoon at one-thirty and the body laid to rest in the nearby cemetery. Rev. Peder Nordsletten of Wallingford was in charge of the service. The pallbearers were Martin Myhre, Jorgen Anderson, A. C. Jacobson, Elmer Olson, Sam Gunderson, and P. S. Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. S. O. Lundy of Estherville sang two duets with Mrs. Magnus Wolden accompanying.

Relatives from a distance who were present at the funeral were: M. T. Hoff, Madison, Minn.; H. H. Larson, Twin Lake, Minn.; L. H. Larson, O. H. Larson, Harry Larson, Emmons, Minn.; H. Larson, Wildrose, N. D.
