Estherville--Funeral services for William V. Hiles, 84, Estherville, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Henry Funeral Chapel, Estherville, with the Rev. Max Goldman officiating. Burial will be at East Side Cemetery.

Mr. Hiles passed away Friday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Estherville. (May 22, 1976)

Born Feb 22, 1892, at Hunt City, ILL, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Hiles (Sarah). He received his education in Bloomington, ILL., married Maude Thomas, Dec 26, 1923 at Estherville.

After coming to the area in 1921, Mr. Hiles farmed near Gruver until retiring in 1957.

He is a member of the Methodist Church, Estherville, a veteran of World War I, a member of the World War I Barricks, Estherville and the Estherville American Legion. Military services will be held with all the veterans urged to attend the services.

He is survived by one son, William George Hiles, Wallingford; one daughter, Mrs. Henry (Marion) Petersen, Tampa, Fla.; one grandchild; and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, one son, seven sisters and six brothers.

Friends may call at Henry Funeral Home until time of services Tuesday.
