Death of Mrs. Herman Harvego, Sr.

Mrs. Herman Harvego, Sr., died at her home three miles east of Huntington on Tuesday, December 21st, after an illness of ten years, the last four of which she was confined to her bed. She was born in Lippiditmoldt county, Germany, March 4, 1840. She was married to Herman Harvego December 16, 1864. and came to America in 1877, locating at New London, Henry county, Iowa, and came to Emmet county in 1894. Seven children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Harvego, the youngest dying in infancy. Those surviving are Herman, Samuel, Ernest and Mrs. Minnie Myhre, of Huntington, and Henry and Adolp, of Breckenridge, Minn., all were present at the funeral, which was held at the family home Thursday, December 23rd, and the remains interred in the Union Cemetery on the Harvego farm. Rev. Golstapf, of Ceylon, preached the funeral sermon.
