H. K. GROTH DIES IN MINNEAPOLIS
Heart Attack Fatal to Aged Man
H. K. Groth, 78, formerly a resident of Estherville, died Thursday at his home in Minneapolis, Minn. It was learned yesterday by relatives here. He suffered a heart attack while walking in the yard of his home although he apparently had been in good health until that time.
Mr. Groth is a pioneer resident of Emmet county having come here before 1872. He setled on the farm which is now the Emmet county farm and worked that land until it was sold to the county. He moved to Estherville at that time and lived in several houses, all of which he improved. He moved to Minneapolis a few years ago and has been living there with Mrs. Groth since, except for last winter when they lived with a daughter at Ellsworth.
He was born October 29, 1853.
Mrs. Groth is a sister of Mrs. T. O. Berg who has lived in Emmet county for 70 years.
Surviving are Mr. Groth's widow; three daughters, Mrs. Carl Peterson of Estherville, Mrs. C. J. Nagelstad of Ellsworth, and Miss Rose Groth, welfare worker at Madison, Minn; and one son, C. L. Groth of Emmet county.
Funeral services will be held the Lutheran church east of Wallingford and burial will be in the Wallingford cemetery.
