MRS. PAUL G. GRAY, SR., DIES AT 66
Services 3:30 p.m. Tomorrow at Home

Mrs. Paul G. Gray, Sr., [Nadine] 66, died at 11:15 p.m. yesterday (Sunday, Aug. 29, 1948) at her cottage on Lake Okoboji of a lingering illness. The body will be taken later this afternoon to the family home at 617 N. 7th street in Estherville, where services will be held at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow. The Rev. F. E. Conaway, pastor of the Presbyterian church will officiate with burial at Oak Hill cemetery beside her husband, the late Paul. G. Gray, Sr.

Mrs. Gray was born April 27, 1882 at Holden, Mo. to Luke F. and Alice Torbert Roberts. She received her education in the public school system and at St. Cecilia Seminary, both in Holden, and at Central Missouri State Teachers college at Warrensburg, Mo.

She was united in marriage June 25, 1907 to Paul G. Gray at Kansas City, Mo. After living for short periods in Holden, Mo., Clinton, Iowa, Chicago, and Mason City, they moved in October, 1919 to Estherville, where they made their home ever since.

Mrs. Gray was a member of the Christian church in Estherville, and was active in civic and church work.

She is survived by her son Paul G. Gray, Jr., of Estherville and a daughter, Mrs. Brown G. Appleton, Warren, Ark., and six grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death May 12, 1943.

Pall bearers will be Philip E. Palmer, Henry B. Amundson, Ben B. Benda, Dominic J. Novak, George Wymer, and Frank Mahan, all of Estherville, and George R. Osland, St. James, Minn., and Gilbert Pafferman, Jr., of Swea City. All of the pall bearers are employees of the produce firm of P. G. Gray in which the deceased was an active partner.

HONORARY pall bearers: Mack J. Groves, Fred G. Parsons, Leo E. Fitzgibbons, Herman A. Jensen, Dr. Julius B. Osher, L. M. Christensen, Jay Howard, Dr. J. P. Clark, Karl F. Voigt, E. W. Knight, K. J. McDonald, Delbert Beauman, John Rhodes, Guy A. Tibbetts, Parker Bennett, Clarence Mathieson, F. Edward Rosendahl, all of Estherville, and Dr. Ruth Woolcott of Spirit Lake, Alice E. Furleigh and E. G. Morse of Mason City, Jerome A. Johnson of Buffalo Center, Henry R. Johnson of Lakota, Laurence Hurley, James E. Hurley and James E. Hurley, Jr., of Camden, Ark.
